Ingredients
400 ml | Coco Mama Fresh Gata |
125 grams | Panutsa / Panocha or brown sugar |
Procedure
Combine Coco Mama Fresh Gata and panutsa in a saucepan
Slowly simmer for 20 minutes until panutsa is dissolved completely and sauce is thick
Transfer to a serving dish. Best serve with freshly fried banana turon or fried saba
Makes 1 cup Coco-Latik Sauce
Delightful Tip: Latik, or ‘coconut caramel’ is a very versatile dessert sauce. Aside from turon, it is also perfect with many other Filipino snacks or kaanin such as suman, maja blanca, biingka and everyone’s favourite, biko.
