Ingredients
1 – 400ml | Coco Mama Fresh Gata |
2 tablespoons | cooking oil |
1/4 cup | chopped onion |
2 teaspoons | chopped garlic |
1/4 cup | chopped celery stalks |
1 kilo | |
1 small | carrot, peeled and chopped |
2 tablespoons | all-purpose flour |
3 cups | chicken broth |
1 teaspoon | salt |
1/8 teaspoon | white pepper |
chopped | |
fried bacon bits – optional |
Procedure
Heat cooking oil in a large pot. Saute onion, garlic and celery until soft and aromatic
Stir in kalabasa, carrot and flour. Cover and cook over low heat for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Pour in chicken broth and Coco
Pour soup in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. pour into bowls and top with sitaw and bacon bits.
Serves 5 to 6
Delightful Tip: Without a food processor, you can puree cooked
kalabasa and carrot by mashing and pressing them through a fine strainer.
