Hunt’s Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients

1 canbutton mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cupcelery, sliced
1/2 cupchopped carrots
1 small onioncut into wedges
1/2 cup green bell pepper strips
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cupolive oil
1 canHunt’s Pork & Beans 2390g
1 cupdiced tomatoes
1 wholechicken, cut into 8 pcs
3 cupschicken broth
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoondried crushed oregano
2 bay leaves ( dahon ng laurel)
1/2 teaspoonsalt
1/4 teaspoonground black pepper
1 tablespoonbutter, optional
Pasta or rice

Procedure

Sauté mushrooms, celery, carrot, onions, sweet pepper, and garlic in a saucepot with olive oil

Stir in the Hunt’s Pork and Beans and canned diced tomatoes

Place chicken on vegetables

Combine broth, wine, flour, sugar, oregano, bay leaves, salt and pepper; pour over chicken

Cover and simmer for 1 hour until the chicken is cooked

Stir in the butter

Serve the chicken over rice or cooked pasta

Serve 5 to 6
