Ingredients
1 cup | glutinous rice, washed |
6 cups | water |
1/2 cup | unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 cup | sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | salt |
1/8 teasponn | vanilla extract |
1 – 410 ml can | Angel Evaporada |
Procedure
Cook rice in a medium pot with water on low heat, stirring constantly to avoud scorching
When rice turns soft and translucent, add cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla extract. Cook for a few more minutes until rice is very tender
Serve in bowls with swirld of Angel Evaporada
Makes 6 to 8 servings
Delightful Tip: using rice alternatives such as brown or red rice or adlai will add nutritive value to your Champorado. Adjust amount of water according to preferred thickness or consistency.
